Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pipe Layer to join our dynamic construction team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing underground piping systems essential for infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help ensure the successful completion of utility installations, contributing to community development and infrastructure resilience. This position offers the opportunity to work with heavy equipment and advanced tools in a hands-on environment, supporting a variety of public and private projects.

Duties
  • Duties

    • Lay and install underground pipes using heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and bucket trucks to ensure precise placement and alignment.
    • Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialized machinery to cut, weld, and assemble piping systems according to project specifications.
    • Perform utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
    • Use rigging techniques to lift and position large pipes or equipment safely during installation.
    • Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment operation and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
    • Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, welding, electrical work, and construction site procedures.
    Qualifications

    Experience

    • Proven experience operating heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other construction equipment.
    • Hands-on construction site experience with utility installation or infrastructure projects.
    • Knowledge of mechanical systems, rigging techniques, electrical wiring (including low and high voltage), and cabling procedures.
    • Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces while adhering to OSHA standards.
    • Strong understanding of construction safety practices related to heavy equipment operation and electrical work.
    • Physical ability to operate machinery efficiently, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
